- Magamba is set to make history by launching Zimbabwe’s first-ever festival of poetry, hip hop and urban culture in September 2011 where top international artists will be invited to perform alongside leading local acts. Running from the 21st – 25th September, the Shoko Spoken Word and Hip Hop Festival will include a conference involving local artists aswell as the invited international artists from 8 different countries. Hosted by Zimbabwe’s leading spoken word and hip hop organization, Magamba, the event will happen at various locations across Harare including Book Café and Mannenberg with the Alliance Francaise as the main festival hub.
